ISee below for my unhappy experience, some of it written the first night we checked in.

I give up. I can’t find another hotel anywhere near the price we have right now. About $90 per night with taxes and fees. I am so unhappy with Comfort Inn 2516 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN. It is such a sh#t hole. I read on TripAdvisor.com that so many people gave it a great rating but they must have their own staff writing reviews. I made a two night reservation here. I am sitting here now at the computer desk, thinking about the last four hours where I was so disappointed in this hell hole of a room that I wasted this time trying to find another room, somewhere, anywhere, within reason, for tomorrow night. Couldn’t do it. Either not available or much higher than I can afford. I have to resign myself to staying in an absolute crap hole of a motel. I never imagined that my Choice Privileges Membership would let me down so badly.

The bathtub is the real old type of plastic tub with the shower surround, put together in pieces because the bathroom and the doors to the room are too small to put a full, one piece tub and surround in. On the plus side, the sink is in the bathroom so, no icky, dirty door handle from people using the toilet and then having to open the door before they can wash their hands. It is a very small bathroom. Where these tub surround pieces are put together, they have caulking. The caulking is all moldy and ugly. Whoever hung the shower curtain rail, hung it too low. The shower curtain is therefore too long and hangs down onto the floor of the tub. You actually walk on the shower curtain as you take a shower. The floor by the air conditioner is soaking wet. Didn’t notice that until after my shower. Until then I had my sandals on. I think this is probably an ongoing problem because the wall next to the air conditioner has the paint all scrubbed off. Must have gotten moldy and someone scrubbed it off but did not paint the walls again. All the walls need painting because of scrapes and cracking wallboard seams. Right behind me there are some awful brown streaks on the wall and I am hoping that they are not what I think they are. How would that happen?

There is a piece of carpet wall/floor trim that is missing by the bathroom door. They used folded carpeting instead of wood floor trim. This room number is 117.

The piece of ceramic between the living area carpeting and the bathroom floor is filthy. Looks like it never gets washed. The tops of the tiles probably get cleaned and the carpet probably gets vacuumed but this transition piece is very dirty. Overall, this is an absolutely horrible place to stay.

Immediately after we got here I started a search for a better hotel.  Shouldn’t be hard to do since this place is absolute bottom. After four hours of internet and phone calling, I gave up.

The next day I went to the office and told them how bad my room was the previous night. The girl said that she would give me a refund and that they would move me to a different room and that she was going to make sure that it was very clean and didn't have the moldy tub and the shower curtain the correct height. We stuck around to see if we could move our stuff to the new room but, at 9:30 she said the new room still wasn't ready. We went to do our tourist stuff. Came back about 7:30 pm. I told the guy at the desk the story and he seemed to know absolutely nothing about what had happened or the new, clean room. So, he puts us in the room directly across the hall. #118? We move our stuff in there and this room, amazingly, is even dirtier. I already know that I can't get another hotel for anywhere near this $90 per night price range so we just resign ourselves to spending another miserable night in a filthy room. At least the A/C did not leak water onto the carpet.

Here are just some of the things that I noted that were bad about this second room, and I have pictures of them too. The pictures enclosed are of the second room. I didn't take any of the first room:

  • There is a ceramic transition piece between the carpet in the room and the ceramic tiles in the bathroom. This, I am convinced, has never been cleaned completely. There was thick dirt on each side of the door opening where the dirt was solid. I took my finger and wet it and rubbed a circle into the dirt. You would not believe this was in a hotel but maybe you would if it was a crack house. There is another piece of ceramic right in front of this and it was about 1/2" wide and went the length of the doorway. It has absolutely never been cleaned. Never. Has to be the most filthy hotel in all our years of travel.
  • This bathtub surround also had the same moldy caulking that the other room had. This, after they said that they were going to make sure my new room was extra clean.
  • The caulking around the toilet bottom, where it sat on the floor was all stained with yellow and brown stains and it also was  moldy. I have never heard of anyone caulking around a toilet bottom.
  • The grout between the ceramic floor tiles is filthy. You can tell that it was originally a light gray or white but now it is just a "dirt/stain" combo color.
  • There was a folding luggage rack that had legs that had more rust on them than they had chrome.
  • The light on the wall between the two beds was held up by a rusty wood screw with the head sticking out so a person might accidentally cut themselves on the sharp edges and probably need tetanus shots.
  • The towel holder in the bathroom was rusty and  was falling off the wall.
  • The telephone junction box was completely smashed off the wall and just hanging there over the ripped carpet.

I could go on but I am just commenting about what I have actual pictures to back up.
No, I did not complain when I checked out. I had done that the previous day and I don't like confrontations and arguing.  I am completely convinced that they would think that I am crazy and that their rooms a perfectly fine.
I want a full refund of my second night billed on 9/28/13. $90.66

You can see the part towards the middle that might get cleaned occasionally. Maybe once a year? That darker spot towards the door jam is dirt.

dirty step

See the circular cleaner area in the dirt? That is where I took a little spit on my finger and rubbed. That shows the absolute filth.

Also notice the ceramic piece touching the carpet. Note the orange stains and the dirt. Probably NEVER cleaned in many years.

Also note the dirty grout. you can see some parts of it where your can see a little bit of lighter areas. The lighter areas are what the not so dirty grout looks like.

Both rooms were like this.

I have never seen such dirt in all my life of traveling.

Pictures are not so clear here but you can see the mold and mildew on the grout in the shower/tub surround. This was in the second room that they said they were going to make sure was extra clean because of the first dirty room. This was just as bad as the first room. grout

Note the awful stained caulking by the toilet. First of all, nobody caulks around a toilet unless it is leaking from the inside. Secondly, the caulking is yellowing from urine and who knows what? Awful. toilet caulking
